It's the Board's job to help administrators be the best leaders they can be. The software ought to make that easier — not harder.

I serve on a local school board. The work itself is rewarding — but the operational side of running public meetings, posting agendas, capturing minutes, fielding records requests, tracking what's been decided across years of meetings, was a patchwork. Email threads, shared drives, paper packets, websites with stale PDFs. Not because the boards weren't doing the job. Because the tools weren't built for the job.
ScholarVoice came first. I'd watched districts try to use generic survey tools to ask staff and parents honest questions — and watched the results get filtered through layers of administration before reaching the board. So I spent months building something better: anonymous K-12 climate surveys with results aggregated before they're recorded, delivered to administrators and, when the board wants them, directly to trustees. Same numbers, same time, no editorial layer.
BoardVoice came shortly after. The same insight applied to the meeting record itself. Boards in my area didn't need to be managed — they needed a clean way to pull the whole cycle together. Agendas, packets, motions, votes, minutes, public records requests, all in one transparent place that residents can find without filing a FOIA. That's BoardVoice. It exists because I needed it for the board I sit on.
Both products are built and run by one person who actually has to use them. That has consequences. Decisions get made fast. Bug reports get answered the same day. And every feature has to pass a simple test: would a part-time clerk in a small township use this on a Tuesday night, with their dinner getting cold, and feel helped by it? If the answer's no, it doesn't ship.
True Anchor LLC is the parent company for BoardVoice and ScholarVoice. Both products share infrastructure and design language; both are sold separately or together as a bundle.
